For the benefit of at least your ears-to-brain, the evolution of spacemixing flows progressively towards the newly upcoming SQP19 Psyonics spacemix.
August 5th is the release date, so why not maximally enjoy this brief period of whetting your listening appetite?
Yeah, that date is already right on top of us, but I really want to release this mix asap, while the musical energies are reasonably powerfully aligned with mid-summer appropriateness.
And who doesn’t like being exposed to new music on a Monday? 🙃👍
An audio roller coaster of sorts, you will experience a trippy sonic ride through hills of energy, from the dancing melancholy of my own remix of Deadmau5 “Monophobia” to the yoga-friendly Desert Dwellers “Wandering Sadhu” to the mind-expanding scope of Sphongle “Nothing is Something Worth Doing” — all intricately carefully spacemixed to add a modernizing sense of sonic texture and depth that seriously expands the immersive nature of soundscapes to an area most likely unlike anything that you have ever heard outside of these circles.
A few of my own songs are therein, including Stress Health’s re-release of “Gentle Means”, and the newly spacemixed versions of T-DV “Urban Trip” and “Famous Stranger”.
Song selection and alignment was conducted by the brilliant audio sculpting DJ gEErOj, which is why the cover art includes the amalgam DJ Spirit-rOj.
Audio sculpting, as opposed to live performing, is what we usually do. Never anything against a high-quality live performance, but audio sculpting (obviously including spacemixing) allows for a universe of interestingly powerfully impactful sonic output (best heard in the dark through high-quality speakers or headphones at a responsibly loud volume) that can be readily spread online for easy access, which is great for people with mobility challenges that limits access to live events.
Our audio sculpting tends to be very psychedelic-friendly (e.g. carefully or otherwise mixing two or more strains of top-notch and lawfully available cannabis leaf for use within a high-quality vaporizer), so feel free to keep that in the pleasantly altered mind.
Simply put, I found this mix to be a very enjoyable ride, and believe it has a good chance of (and obviously preferably will be) bringing beneficial energy to your life, if you’re into that sort of thing. 🙂✌️
