My latest generation of spacemix is now available preferably for your listening benefit.
From old school songs by the likes of Skinny Puppy, Tears for Fears, The Crystal Method, and Tangerine Dream to the current frontier by the likes of bil bless, Entheogenic, Germind, Globular, Natural Life Essence, and Snufmumriko, this trippy audio journey modulates between some negative tension and positive relief.
Spacemixing (inspired by the term remixing, and a.k.a. spatial lensing) is an apparently novel technique that I have developed over the past arguably too many years.
It allows me to modernize old mixes with some compression, doubling, equalization, stereo imaging, and/or bass maximization, while also creatively applying low-volume layers of delays, reverberation, and spatial modulation. Of course, the technique can also work well with any other musical material (including the works of yours truly, which employ the technique at the instrument level for even more spatial depth and texture, instead of just the song level).
The result on the surface simply feels like a smooth alteration to the sound, but immersive listening reveals a lot of intricate detail — especially conducive to the psychedelic mindset.
I have a lot of fun exploring and growing this technique, but a warmly welcomed, enhanced appreciation definitely comes from fan reciprocation, so feel free to share your positive vibes in the comments, and so on.
Spacemixing is not designed to enhance music, but simply offer an alternate perspective of it via a (typically relatively complex) spatial lens.
If the technique catches on within the musician community, perhaps more perspectives of the same song will emerge, so breathe ample new life into ‘done that and been there’ music.
I strongly encourage people to buy the music that I spacemix, because professionalism is needed to bring out the best of music and entertainment in general, and your hard-earned money dictates entertainers’ hard-earned artistic leverage and the quality of that result.
Always remember that entertainment is critical towards effective education, so plays a pivotal role in shaping society.
