I labor on this Labor Day to share the fruits of my latest Psyonics spacemix…
The perhaps inappropriately generically named Journey to Peace offers two listening angles.
One is simply riding the audio towards peace.
The other is meditating peacefully along with the peace sonically expressed all throughout the journey.
Spacemixing (a term inspired by remixing) is my innovative audio technique that I have been developing over the past decade.
It allows me to intricately shape the listener’s sense of space in magical (optionally including very trippy) ways.
The technique is simple at heart (just low volume effects with precise equalization), but applying that technique for accuracy is a wonderful challenge that opens a universe of possible outcomes — allowing a stereo mix (e.g. your favorite song) to be experienced in numerously colorful ways.
The result can come across as subtle-to-nonexistent upon casual listening, but focused listening (especially upon comparing the regular mix to the spacemixed one) reveals a lot of lightweight-but-influential spatial coloring for nourishing texture and depth.
Of course, the technique can be applied to individual tracks of a musical composition, so not just the stereo (or surround sound) mix. That increased level of detail provides even more texture and depth for more sonic immersion.
I hope to share this technique with other musicians and audiophiles who may be interested in exploring these new audio dimensions.
The promotional path is painfully slow, because I am one very-busy man powerfully burdened by other responsibilities, but that will not deter me and please bare with me on this critical front.
While your appreciation of spacemixing is genuinely appreciated, equal appreciation comes from sharing my spacemixed work with whomever you believe would be interested.
Peace. ✌️
