Again, our “public servants” are looking out for money and other forms of power for selfish oligarchical interests (and unethically disguising the result as a public benefit), instead of doing their jobs to lead us all to a genuinely better society.
High costs due to questionable regulations (which can be bypassed via bribery by the wealthy, and so on) seriously retard a healthy economy on the cannabis front — i.e. real economic pain that produces real pain for victims of that retardation (especially those within lower financial areas).
New (if not all) cannabis users should embrace vaping, which is a highly more efficient intake method. A mild user (albeit still producing fairly strong effects) can make a quarter ounce last roughly a year, so save a lot of money. Spend some of that money on a high-quality vaping device (e.g. Arizer Air 2).
Moreover, people should consider growing their own cannabis. Yields from even a microgrow can be strong for a vape user (e.g. roughly two ounces per plant, but could be as high as 3.5 ounces per plant).
Cannabis supply can (and logically likely will) greatly outstrip demand.
As such, I logically predict that the larger area of the cannabis economy will involve products and services surrounding cannabis use — not direct sales of the plant.
Only a relatively small group will succeed in directly selling cannabis to consumers — a group with little profit margin due to still strong competition within that group, and the aforementioned lengthy duration between vape consumers needing to resupply.
Relying upon expensive regulations that merely may make the cannabis safer (again, corruption may exist at any point, and defies consumer safety — so no consumer can be truly sure their cannabis is untainted), instead of relying upon consumer advocacy (at least voluntarily by passionate cannabis consumers) that costs nowhere near as much, means that small group will remain even smaller and more burdened.

I am an honest freak (or reasonably responsibly balanced "misfit", if you prefer) of an artist working and resting to best carefully contribute towards helping society. Too many people abuse reasoning (e.g. 'partial truth = whole truth' scam), while I exercise reason to explore and express whole truth without any conflict-of-interest -- all within a sometimes offbeat style of psychedelic artistry.
