Balance is needed for stability, which is needed for composure, which is needed for competency, which is needed for productivity and credibility, so better health.
Balance must include one between a healthy work ethic and a healthy rest ethic.
Being (even soberly) stressed out is dangerous in any environment.
Humanity must finally understand that effective competition cannot wisely be based upon ‘pedal to the metal’ “productivity”.
Cannabis’ likely upcoming mainstream popularity will hopefully show people that not only is balancing a healthy rest ethic better for productivity ultimately, but a huge rest industry greatly helps our economy too.
As for drug testing in the workplace, end it now.
Past work results should be the sole indicator of likely competency, not what substances a person uses (but not necessarily abuses).
Being wired on caffeine can be dangerous is sensitive work situations too, right?
