From “Trooper’s widow urges no vote on legalizing Massachusetts marijuana”:
The widow of a state trooper killed by a driver who allegedly smoked marijuana before the crash is making an emotional plea against a ballot question that would legalize Massachusetts marijuana for recreational use.
There is literally no concrete (so credible) evidence that proves prohibition works at all. We do not even have a “drug free” prison system.
Every instance of drug abuse related tragedy in effect condemns prohibition as a failed (and flagrantly rights-infringing) approach, so even if the driver abused cannabis by driving impaired, that is equally a reason to end prohibition (not sustain it).
Prohibition is ineffective, destructive, blatantly unlawful at all levels of government in an uncorrupted American judicial system (spare us the Commerce Clause against the surreptitiously illegally disarmed Ninth Amendment combined with the Supremacy Clause), and at least in the case of cannabis (statistically reported by our government to be about 75% of “illicit” drug use — so largely forms the war on [some politicized] drugs) — scientifically unwarranted.
There is no experimental science concluding any harm in moderate cannabis use.
There is “suggestive” science (that critically leaves out intake method differential, precise intake amount, and strain differential — so actually junk science) that still only goes as far as to state that “heavy use” and abuse may/can cause harm (while disclaiming more research is needed to solidify those results) — results unethically turned into tough-talking affirmations to condone sanctioned thuggery for generations.
There is demonstrable evidence that proves that prohibition has ruined millions (if not billions) of non-rights-infringing (so innocent) lives for several decades and still strongly counting, while the mainstream media still largely refuses to publicly challenge the legitimacy of prohibition in this case (a challenge that would likely greatly raise public pressure to end the monstrous scam).
What about those fathers (and everyone else) among those millions (if not billions) of innocent lives?
The real drug epidemic is ironically drug prohibition addiction — i.e. “community leaders” publicly destructively lying and in effect stealing to outrageously hypocritically get their prohibition fix.
I am sincerely sorry for Mrs. Clardy’s loss, but her consequent positioning is nothing shy of terrible — based upon the whole truth and nothing but.
