Feeling Better?

Joseph is a cool science man, so feel free to check out his work at Rationalizing The Universe.

In his recent post titled “A Turn of Fortune”, he wrote:

A few days ago I was happy; now I am shrouded in overwhelming sadness. How are we supposed to make sense of all of this? Isn’t it an odd thing, that I am still constructed of the same materials as I was a few days ago (roughly), my brain is the same brain and my trajectory towards working on the big problems in Physics remains totally unscathed…

My comment there shared with you all here for worst through best:

First, I hope you feel better. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” – Winston Churchill

I hope you’ll focus additionally upon the physics perspective of all physicality (i.e. mass is energy, so the brain and literally everything else is pure energy), instead of just focusing upon the biological one digging down to the cellular level (I’m not diminishing the value of the biological angle, just humbly recommending the physics addition).

A purely energetic perspective on reality raises extremely interesting thoughts inclusively regarding the subject of your post.

Positive (any style of feeling good) and negative (any style of feeling bad) are relative energetic signatures to the energy seamlessly forming your humanity.

From the physics angle, we see health as an energetic harmony resonating within guaranteed imperfection within reality, so an imperfect resonance that hopefully is strong enough for survival and even “thrival”.

The demonstrated unimaginable complexity of reality renders it impossible to identify the complete stressor signature forming the experience signature, but better observation obviously leads to a better refined identity of at least the major currents forming the stressor signature (the more refined the identified stressor signature, the more refined the health adaptation signature).

While I never encourage anyone to abuse drugs (or do anything illegal), a plant such as cannabis (science term for marijuana, if unclear) shows strong signs of being a symphonic drug that can (among other bodily things) protect the brain by absorbing energetic stressors similar to how the earth protects us with its magnetic field. “Science” against cannabis has it all wrong, but brevity prevents details here. Strain choice (among the hundreds, if not thousands, of them) is critical, because some strains can exacerbate the problem via increasing neurological dissonance (strain and strain combination selection is similar to music selection).

Clothing is technology at least better protecting us from the elements. Cannabis is the metaphorical leaf covering the crotch equivalent for clothing within the mind to directly deal with the mentally involved elements — a technology that, like clothing, will advance towards increasingly better control to increase the adaptability of neurological protection. Such control isn’t limited to drugs, but also mental strength exercises (e.g. meditation), and eventually biocomputing.

Composure/balance is the essence of positive health, and whether you leverage meditation, psychedelics, biocomputing, and/or so on, survival of the fittest shows only signs of requiring better direct protection of the energetic symphony (with only subjectively defined boundaries in a purely energetic reality) that is you.

If you need a positive distraction, feel free to also focus upon extending Einstein’s most famous equation to include space joining mass as energy (and the wonderful scientific prize likely accompanying that discovery), because science really promptly needs a much more refined energetic dimensionality signature to expand human perspective (even if only mathematically) to much better understand the physicality of dark matter (and gravitons in general), dark energy, virtual particle source/destination beyond perception here, quantum entanglement, and so on.

I am an honest freak (or reasonably responsibly balanced "misfit", if you prefer) of an artist working and resting to best carefully contribute towards helping society. Too many people abuse reasoning (e.g. 'partial truth = whole truth' scam), while I exercise reason to explore and express whole truth without any conflict-of-interest -- all within a sometimes offbeat style of psychedelic artistry.
