But, Shumlin warns, a proposed legalization initiative that is expected to go before voters in neighboring Massachusetts could cause “huge problems” for Vermont because it allows edibles and on-site consumption in some cannabis establishments, two things the Vermont proposal does not authorize.
You can read the rest of the ignorance, but my comment there is a better fit here (at least imho)…
The nanny state problem is so bad, a nanny state is pointing its terribly (and too often selfish) uptight finger at another nanny state.
It’s a battle over the “right way” towards government (and upon including the public sector’s powerful influence, oligarchical) overreach into the many millions of non-violent (sanely innocent and supposedly free) lives to pretend to address the relatively rare instances of abuse (well-proven — even by the prohibitionist U.S. National Institute on Drug Abuse — to be the result of unhealthy stress, so not drug availability).
Meanwhile, the self-evident and unalienable right to liberty set to prevent similar law abuse (logically the worst form of abuse due to its mainly broad scope of destruction) as that igniting the violent revolution establishing our nation remains still terribly sadly ignored (historically through currently) for some flavor(s) of selfishly idiotic discrimination “to protect the children”.
Effectively worshipping the Great Hypocrisy (if you will) is obviously not the path to civility, but continuous and overwhelmingly dominant mass demonstration only reveals the pathetic ignorance of that obviousness to serious national degradation.
