MA Means Cannabusiness?

Prompted by: Businesses in Massachusetts Warn Against Marijuana Legalization (High Times)

With legalized marijuana use, we create the risk of employees coming to work with drugs still in their system… How will an employer respond to a worker operating heavy equipment on a job site under the influence of marijuana?

How do they respond to a worker operating heavy equipment under the influence of the arbitrarily legal alcohol?

How about the risky (if not dangerous) distraction from the many varieties of emotional distress (which can be alleviated by mild cannabis intake of a proper strain)?

People make bad decisions (sober or not), and job-related accidents (not to mention employers way too often setting up job entrapment to prevent employees from earning a good income) occur regardless of drug availability.

Condemning legal cannabis is a bad (business) decision — one that insists upon ample taxpayer dollars annually spent on avoiding even a drug-free prison system in light of a strong black market presence and all of the health (including economy-degrading productivity) problems accompanying that clear lapse of wisdom.

People abusively turn to drugs to offset serious unhealthy stress, because that’s the most conveniently (and most privately) accessible (including inexpensive) and effective “solution” to avoid not appearing tough enough to survive the winds of (way too often stupidity reinforcing) hardship — e.g. from horrible laws such as the war on [some] drugs politically and financially serving pure (reason abusive and thuggish) selfishness in the “land of the free”.

You really want to reduce drug abuse in the workplace, employers?

Stop hideously overworking people to make a buck (and massively contributing to putting a severe strain on our healthcare system as a result), so you can buy that boat, collection of houses, and so on the (too often broken) backs of most of your fellow citizens.

I am an honest freak (or reasonably responsibly balanced "misfit", if you prefer) of an artist working and resting to best carefully contribute towards helping society. Too many people abuse reasoning (e.g. 'partial truth = whole truth' scam), while I exercise reason to explore and express whole truth without any conflict-of-interest -- all within a sometimes offbeat style of psychedelic artistry.

People do need to see cannabis as a vitamin. Until the veil is removed and the see a plant not a war – they’ll thank us.
I sat stoned at the laundry mat knitting while a drunk was allowed to sit, drink and burp her booze at me at 930am.
