Prompted by “Riding the Techstorm”: http://reason.com/archives/2015/06/05/riding-the-techstorms
Riding the pros and cons of the overwhelmingly complex reality this morning (like any other), the prompting post offers one spike among a variety of them in my news feeds.
Complexity burying us in turmoil, as we (a complex signature of desire meets action) push and pull society’s levers/buttons/etc. to dictate various outcomes for better survival and “thrival”. Tortured law the norm these days (e.g. Congress amending this and that against DEA funding, federal approach to state cannabis laws, etc.), I find no need to elaborate my desire meeting action (e.g. restore the Commerce Clause to sanity, so actual lawfulness — instantly necessarily ending the Controlled Substances Act and its rippling reaches into state and local law against amendment nine).
I gotta get ready for a few hours of hiking today (my favorite form of exercise matching the quality of the human body spanning thousands of years evolving from such movement over natural terrain), so I leave that complexity aside for the complexity of natural forestation with the technology (I suppose) of beaten hiking paths.
May your complexities meet your liking this TGIF.
